Date: March 29, 2017 – ISACA Lebanon Chapter participated in the Cybersecurity Symposium held at MUBS University.
The internet has become indispensable to the operation of most businesses, governments and communities. Policymakers are constantly searching for ways to protect cyberspace from malicious activities. The world has become so dependent on forms of digital and network technologies that any successful large scale Cyber Attack may prove to be quite harmful.
To deal with this growing threat, MUBS is organizing the 2017 Cybersecurity Symposium which serves as a forum for researchers, practitioners, educators, and students where they can present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences, and concerns in Cybersecurity.
The symposium is an opportunity to learn about new approaches to information security and discover the latest technologies while interacting with top security leaders and pioneers. Presentations will help participants understand their organization’s vulnerabilities and identify potential Cyberthreats in addition to gaining knowledge on how to respond and recover when attacked.
Ms. Nisrine El Khatib Education Committee chair at ISACA Lebanon Chapter, introduced to the audience to ISACA organization, and the new Cybersecurity Nexus Program and the various certifications available.
